Lincoln Woodard grew up in the Harford area. He received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1987. He obtained his law degree from Western New England College School where he graduated cum laude in 1992. During law school he served as an editor and staff member of the school's law review and focused his studies in the area of trial practice. After law school he worked for five years as a prosecutor in New York where he gained invaluable trial experience as a young attorney, prosecuting cases involving domestic violence and sexual abuse criminals. He returned to Connecticut in 1997 and has practiced exclusively in civil trial work since that time. He has also represented clients in personal injury cases before the Connecticut Appellate and Supreme Court.
Mr. Woodard is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, Connecticut Bar Association, Hartford County Bar Association, New London County Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Woodard has previously served as an adjunct professor at Marist College. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York state courts as well as the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. |
